Fitness Trainer Lead, Sports Core

About the role

Join the team at the Sports Core as a Fitness Trainer. Your responsibilities include promoting and performing lifestyle programs, assessments, and personal training services according to Sports Core standards. You will also perform fitness services with minimal direction, assist with setup, cleaning, and maintenance of fitness equipment, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Promote and perform lifestyle programs, assessments, and personal training services according to Sports Core standards.
• Perform fitness services with minimal direction, including body fat testing, girth measurements, weight, cardiovascular step test, sit/reach flexibility testing, and strength testing.
• Create and execute long-term personal training programs tailored to the needs and goals of healthy, average adults.
• Demonstrate and assist facility users with fitness equipment in all fitness and training areas according to quality standards.
• Maintain accurate member and personal client records according to standard operating procedures.
• Assist with setting up, cleaning, and preventative maintenance for all fitness-related equipment (weight benches, racks and equipment, Spinning bikes, and any pool needs).

Requirements

• Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification and a bachelor's degree in a related field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Biology, Health Promotions).
• CPR/AED certified.
• A preferred certification includes CSCS, ACSM, or NASM.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Personal Training or Wellness field.
• Previous leadership experience including program management/implementation.

Skills

Schedule

This is a full-time position working weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 5:00 am - 8:00 pm.
