About the role
The Personal & Group Fitness Trainer will conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, design and implement individualized exercise programs, instruct and educate members on proper exercise techniques, support community-wide wellness programs, maintain a clean and safe fitness environment, foster positive relationships, assist in the Aquatic Center, lead engaging group exercise classes, and provide specialized training for clients with diverse medical conditions.Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments to evaluate residents' current health and functional abilities.
- Design and implement individualized exercise programs incorporating flexibility, strength training, and cardiovascular conditioning.
- Instruct and educate members on proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and maximize results.
- Support the coordination and delivery of community-wide wellness programs and initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment for all residents.
- Foster positive relationships with residents and staff, motivating and encouraging active lifestyles.
- Aid in the daily operations of the Aquatic Center, including performing required water testing and safety checks.
- Lead engaging group exercise classes tailored to varying ability levels.
- Provide specialized training for clients with diverse medical conditions and cognitive impairments.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
- Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
- Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
- Personal Training Experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Pass a background check.

- Knowledge of senior-specific fitness programs and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
