Fitness Floor Supervisor

An exciting opportunity to join the Executive Team of a progressive YMCA association located in vibrant Somerset County, New Jersey. Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service greeting each member by first name.
• Enforces the rules posted to help maintain an organized facility.
• Creates a safe, positive, and motivating environment for members and staff.
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the wellness area and reports any equipment issues.
• Builds effective and authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Assists with the promotion of YMCA Healthy Living Programs including Personal Training, Chronic Disease Programming, Group Exercise Classes, etc.
• Observes participants and members activities; enforces safety regulations and positively explains and interprets all YMCA safety policies.
• Walks through and monitors the Wellness Center periodically.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Working knowledge of body mechanics and physical fitness principles preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and AED Certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
