Fitness Floor Attendant (on-call)

About the role

HealthFitness is looking for a Fitness Floor Attendant to join the fitness team at our client’s corporate fitness center in Littleton, Colorado. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional fitness environment while helping create a welcoming and positive experience for members.

Schedule

This is an on-call/as-needed position, providing coverage for 4–8 hour shifts Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Provide exercise floor supervision and interact with members and program participants within the fitness center.
• Interact with participants and monitor equipment and participant safety.
• Welcome members by greeting, answering questions, responding to requests at the front desk, and input data into the membership system.
• Perform facility maintenance responsibilities; ensure facility, equipment, and locker rooms are clean and always stocked.
• Understand and execute the Emergency Medical Procedures throughout the facility.
• Demonstrate and instruct on the proper use of exercise equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Adult CPR/AED & First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Computer application knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
• Physical demands require the ability to lift up to 40 lb weights for restacking.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $18 – $22 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
