Looking to get into the fitness industry, then this is the opportunity for you. HealthFitness has a new opportunity for an on-call (number of hours per week based on demand) Fitness Floor Attendant to join our team within our client's corporate fitness center located in Armonk, NY!

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
  • Welcomes members by greeting, answering questions, responding to requests while at front desk and input data into membership system.
  • Performs facility maintenance responsibilities; ensures facility, equipment and locker rooms are clean and always stocked.
  • Understand and execute the Emergency Medical Procedures throughout the facility.
  • Demonstrate and instruct on the proper use of exercise equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Adult CPR/AED & First Aid from the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the American Safety & Health Institute.
  • Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred.
  • Computer application knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lb. weights for restacking.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
  • Able to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.

Qualifications

Preferred/Nice To Have Industry recognized Group Exercise Instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA OR other specialty group exercise certification highly preferred.
NCCA Accredited Personal Trainer certification from an Industry recognized and HealthFitness approved agency.

Benefits

The compensation range for this role is $17/hr - $19/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
