Fitness Coordinator

Location: Linden Ponds by Erickson Senior Living, a beautiful 108-acre continuing care retirement community on the South Shore in Hingham, Massachusetts.

About the role

We are hiring a Fitness Coordinator who will bring energy and enthusiasm to our team. The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of fitness programs and measurement tools for seniors in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in monitoring the daily operations of the Fitness Center.
• Schedule appointments and process membership agreements.
• Assist with the promotion, coordination, and implementation of exercise programs.
• Develop and maintain an effective membership retention program.
• Develop a network within the community and make appropriate referrals to other services.
• Assist in the training of new department employees.
• Build relationships with residents and staff, encouraging physical activity.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Health Education field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of related work experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Knowledge of prescription medications and risk factors is essential.

Pay

$24–$29 hourly, commensurate with experience.
