About the role

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), part of the State University of New York and an internationally renowned college of art, design, business and technology with a strong emphasis on liberal arts, invites nominations and applications for a Workforce of the Future Instructor.

FIT is looking for instructors who are able to teach remotely on the topic of UX Design. FIT's User Experience Design Certificate Program is a distance-learning program tailored for creative professionals who are looking to advance their careers in the exciting field of UX design.

Responsibilities

• Teach Design Thinking
• Teach UX Working Environment, Workflow, and Research Methodologies
• Teach Competitive and Comparative Analysis
• Conduct and Compile Empathy Interviews
• Create Visualizations of Customer Journey
• Create Personas, Scenarios, Sitemaps, Wireframes, and Wireflows
• Create Low-Fidelity and High-Fidelity Prototypes
• Teach Usability Testing Methodologies
• Teach Microinteractions and UX Design
• Teach Fundamental UI Design Principles
• Prepare UX Portfolios

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science and related degrees, communications, multi-media, and information technology.
• Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in computer science and related degrees, communications, multi-media, and information technology.

Additional Information

• Days/Hours: Instructor role based on course-by-course basis; remote.
• Hiring Rate: $100.00 - $140.00 per hour
