About the Role
FIT is seeking instructors to teach remotely in the User Experience Design Certificate Program, a distance-learning program tailored for creative professionals aiming to advance their careers in UX design. The program covers UX design workflow, research methodologies, ideation, wireframing, interaction design, prototyping, and usability testing, providing a well-rounded education to foster career growth.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will teach the following topics:
- Design Thinking
- UX Working Environment, Workflow, and Research Methodologies
- Competitive and Comparative Analysis
- Conducting and Compiling Empathy Interviews
- Visualizing Customer Journey
- Creating Personas, Scenarios, Sitemaps, Wireframes, and Wireflows
- Low-Fidelity and High-Fidelity Prototypes
- Usability Testing Methodologies
- Microinteractions and UX Design
- Fundamental UI Design Principles
- UX Portfolio Preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, communications, multimedia, information technology, or related fields.
- Experience in technology and communications roles aligned with UX design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, communications, multimedia, information technology, or related fields.
Physical and Work Environment
Mental Requirements: Frequent reading comprehension, calculations, oral communication, reasoning, analysis, and writing.
Working Environment: Remote.
Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
Pay
$100.00 - $140.00 per hour.
Schedule
Instructor role on a course-by-course basis; remote.
