Responsibilities

This position helps keep hatchery systems, equipment, and grounds in safe and working condition. As a Fishing Boating Facilities Maintainer, you will perform the following duties:

• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair pumps, generators, filters, and other hatchery tools
• Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate and service backhoes, loaders, forklifts, and similar machinery
• Vendor Coordination: Work with hatchery staff and outside vendors to complete maintenance tasks
• Grounds Upkeep: Cut grass, plow snow, and maintain roads, sidewalks, and parking areas
• Building and Structure Repair: Repair doors, windows, roofs, fences, ponds, raceways, and related structures
• Safety and Supplies: Use safety equipment properly and manage parts purchasing through state systems

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience operating commercial or industrial-use wheeled or tracked motor vehicles used in groundskeeping, outdoor construction work, agriculture, mining, or forestry work; or Two years of semi-skilled work experience in commercial building or plant maintenance and repair work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Special Requirements: All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license. Additional Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid PA Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
