About the role
Performs routine and specialized Cytogenetic procedures and microscope analysis. Serves as FISH Coordinator.
Qualifications
- Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Masters degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences, and two years of Clinical laboratory experience
- OR NYS Licensed/eligible to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and a minimum of four years of Clinical Laboratory experience
- Experience in Cytogenetics required; specifically, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
- Specific visual requirements include use of both eyes, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and shades of colors
- BS in Molecular Sciences (Cytogenetics or Molecular Diagnostics)
- ASCP certification as Clinical specialist in Cytogenetics

Work Days: M-F 8:00-4:30
