Cytogenetics Technologist II, FISH
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones.
We need to extract content:
- Intro paragraph about Labcorp (global leader...). That's about the company, could be "About the role" or "About Labcorp". Since they said "About the role" is an example, we can use that heading for the introductory description about the role and company.
- Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 2pm-10:30pm (Flexible). That's schedule info. So we need a Schedule section.
- Job Responsibilities: list of duties.
- Minimum Qualifications: list.
- Preferred Qualifications: list.
- Additional Job Standards: list.
- Pay Range: $25-$50 (maybe per hour?). Also mention "All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills..." That's pay info.
- Benefits: list of benefits.
- Sign-on Bonus $7,500***.
- Additional statements about equal opportunity etc are boilerplate to remove.
- Also "Apply today!" etc is application instruction to remove.
- Also "For more detailed information, please click here." remove.
- Also "Internal Employees Not Eligible for Sign-on Bonus" maybe keep as part of sign-on bonus note.
We need to preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include the specifics: e.g., "Perform routine procedures including tissue culture, harvesting, slide making and banding, automated karyotyping, reagent preparation, and FISH processing, probing, and scoping." etc.
We need to format lists with
- . For prose, use
.
We need to decide sections: maybe About the role (intro), Responsibilities, Minimum Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications, Additional Job Standards, Schedule, Pay, Benefits, Sign-on Bonus. Could combine Minimum and Preferred into Qualifications? But they said we can have Qualifications section. However they gave examples: Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We could have "Qualifications" covering both minimum and preferred? But we need to preserve all detail; we could split into Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications as separate headings if they have content. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So maybe combine into one Qualifications section with subheadings? But we cannot use
etc? Only headings are . Could we have multiple sections: Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications both as separate headings. That's okay; they are substantive.
Similarly Additional Job Standards could be under Qualifications or separate. It's also substantive.
We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to remove EEO boilerplate etc.
Let's extract content precisely.
Original text:
"Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, providing the insights and answers that help healthcare providers, patients, researchers, pharmaceutical companies and health systems make confident decisions and improve outcomes. Through our unparalleled science, data, technology and laboratory network, we advance diagnostics, accelerate innovation and help address some of the world’s most important health challenges. As we shape the future of healthcare, we are leveraging advanced technologies, intelligent digital solutions and data-driven innovation across our operations to enhance how work gets done and deliver greater value to customers and patients. With our global scale and deep expertise, you’ll have the opportunity to do meaningful work, grow your career and make a real impact on people’s health around the world. Note: there is a typo "FFPE specimens." missing closing parenthesis? but we keep as is.
Then "Job Responsibilities" then list.
Then "Minimum Qualifications" then list.
Then "Preferred Qualifications" then list.
Then "Additional Job Standards" then list.
Then "At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Every day we provide vital information that helps our clients and patients understand their health. If you are passionate about helping people and have a drive for service, then Labcorp could be a great next career step! Join us and discover a path filled with opportunities for growth, continuous learning, professional challenges, and the chance to truly make a difference. Apply today!" This is promotional and application instruction; we should remove "Apply today!" as application instruction. The rest maybe considered "About the role" content? It's more about company culture; we can keep as part of About the role.
Then "Pay Range: $25-$50 All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data."
Then "Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. For more detailed information, please click here."
Then "Sign-on Bonus $7,500*** Internal Employees Not Eligible for Sign-on Bonus"
Then EEO boilerplate etc to remove.
Thus we need sections:
- About the role: combine introductory paragraph about Labcorp and the culture paragraph (excluding "Apply today!").
- Responsibilities: list.
- Minimum Qualifications: list.
- Preferred Qualifications: list.
- Additional Job Standards: list.
- Schedule: the work schedule line.
- Pay: Pay Range line plus note about offers based on skills etc.
- Benefits: benefits description.
- Sign-on Bonus: note.
We need to ensure we don't create sections with filler. All have content.
We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown.
We'll produce something like:
