About the role
Serves as the primary fiscal manager for the Psychology Department in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Works directly with Department Chair, the Division Director of Finance, the Department Buyer, and the Department Administrative Officer to manage all operating and restricted accounts and serves as advisor on strategic financial matters.
Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day financial operations.
- Performs internal audits and ensures compliance.
- Aids in budgetary development; reconciles budgets.
- Prepares complex reports for leadership.
- Serves as a primary contact and resolves complex issues for all matters related to financial management.
- Establishes and implements workflow processes for all associated areas and budgetary procedures consistent with University policy.
- Reconciles the levels on a monthly basis; makes projections; and provides accurate accounting reports to the Department Chair, the Division Director of Finance, and the Department Administrative Officer.
- Works with Payroll/Personnel Coordinators to manage compensation; with sponsored research administrators to manage grant funding; and with other associated staff to appropriately administer purchasing, travel & business expenses and disbursements.
- Handles all professional services agreements and contracts.

- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and respond quickly to changing priorities.
