Fiscal Assistant

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is seeking a detail-oriented Fiscal Assistant to join the Cash Management and Sales Audit Division. This role focuses on identifying, researching, and reconciling discrepancies between store sales records and bank files, as well as lottery sales documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of financial records for store and licensee service center locations, verifying cash, checks, and other tenders.
• Compile and submit documentation to the Auditor General's Office or Bureau of Audits in response to audit requests.
• Examine lottery sales documentation and research variances for correctness.
• Initiate daily ACH transfers from PNC and Santander control accounts to the Pennsylvania Department of Treasury.
• Utilize system tools such as ReconNet, xStore, xAdmin, Brinks 24SEVEN, and PNC Pinacle for reconciliation and research.

Requirements

• Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
• An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits in accounting; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree will be considered.
• Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation. Applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years are not permitted to work for the PLCB. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Schedule

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch break.
• Telework opportunities: Up to four days per week from an approved location within Pennsylvania, with one day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. Requires a securely configured high-speed internet connection. Telework is subject to change.
