Join Stellenbosch Art Mile on Thursday, 6 August at 5pm for an Artist Talk with Ledelle Moe as part of Stellenbosch First Thursdays.

About the Event

Meet at EXPLODED GEOGRAPHIES IV, opposite Oevertuyn (3 Noordwal-Wes Road), where Ledelle will share the story behind her monumental installation. In the event of rain, please still meet at the artwork. From there, the group will move together to a nearby indoor venue.

About the Artwork

Known for exploring themes of memory, place, and the human condition, Ledelle's EXPLODED GEOGRAPHIES IV traces connections between place, memory, and displacement through monumental cement and steel forms. Figures and birds, embedded with soils gathered from across countries, transform earth into both material and metaphor, reflecting on belonging, movement, permanence, and impermanence.
