First Shift Team Member - Builder & Assembler

About the role

The Home Building Team Members at Clayton are responsible for performing manufacturing production operations within the home building process. They follow standard production methods and practices to ensure efficiency and safety, adhering to all relevant OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce products that meet our quality standards and achieve our productivity objectives.
• Serve as a good steward of our company's physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, and keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
• Aid Team Leaders and Area Coordinators in planning and organizing manufacturing activities by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and addressing quality and productivity issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is greatly desired.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, as well as other physical duties needed.
