Position Summary Propelis is hiring a First Press Operator for our St. Louis location. In this hands-on production role, you will operate and maintain a two-piece, dry offset printing press to produce high-quality printed cans for many of the brands people recognize on store shelves every day. You will help identify and communicate print issues early, support smooth commercial production, and assist in developing Second Press Operators. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED1–2 years of printing press operating experienceDry offset printing experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, dependability, and a commitment to safe work practices Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude and technical print knowledgeExceptional color vision and attention to detailBasic computer literacyAbility to work safely in press areas and follow company standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulationsStrong attendance, punctuality, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow direction, work independently or with a team, solve problems, multitask, and take on additional responsibilities as needed Physical Requirements Use vision, color vision, and focus adjustment to evaluate print qualityUse hands to reach, grasp, handle, and feel materials and equipmentCommunicate effectively in a production environmentStand and walk for most of the shiftRegularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Ready to apply? Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $25 - $28 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
