First Line Testing Analyst

About the Role

Join the Mascoma Bank team as a First Line Testing Analyst, responsible for supporting Retail First Line Risk testing efforts within the Retail Branch Network. This role involves reviewing processes and best practices for self-identified risks, performing periodic branch inspections, and partnering with the First Line Risk Manager to prepare reports on inspections. The analyst plays a crucial role in minimizing operational risk through continuous improvement of business processes, developing quality standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the First Line Risk Manager and First Line Test Team Lead to conduct inspections of all retail branch banking offices.
• Develop a thorough understanding of retail policies, procedures, programs, and objectives.
• Perform developed branch inspection scripts independently, fairly, and objectively; prepare reports to identify findings and possible resolutions.
• Participate in required and ongoing learning of products, services, and system applications, with a focus on customer and employee experience.
• Perform developed testing scripts throughout the Retail Branch Network and Deposit Operations; prepare reports to identify findings.
• Participate in core product release testing as required.
• Liaison with Retail Administration to advise on Improvement Development Plans.
• Work with the Operational Risk Analyst to identify issues in projects, processes, and new initiatives, and prepare impact assessments.
• Collaborate with business lines and the Operational Risk Analyst for process mapping in the development and implementation of new systems/releases.
• Establish end-to-end workflows that strengthen controls, improve operational effectiveness, and support successful change management.
• Consult and collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, processes, product needs, and alternative solutions.
• Present findings to Retail Banking Leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Retail Banking experience.
• Full knowledge of bank products.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present material to others.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to all branch locations; valid Driver’s License required.
• Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word, and branch retail applicable systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
• Professional appearance, grooming, and dress consistent with Mascoma Bank’s appearance policy.

Pay: $23.79-$28.44 per hour
