About the role

Solebury Orchards, LLC is seeking two First-Line Supervisors of Farming, Fisheries, and Forestry in New Hope, PA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and assist employees in tasks such as pruning, planting, thinning, weeding, picking berries, picking peaches and apples, grading, processing, and tractor and forklift operation.
• Assign work tasks, issue equipment, and communicate to coordinate overall work.
• Maintain irrigation equipment.
• Record information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs.
• Maintain inventory/order materials as required by farmer or farm manager.
• Plan/schedule work crews, equipment, or transportation for worksite(s).

Requirements

• 10 months experience in duties listed.
• Driver Requirements.
• Lifting requirement 60 lbs.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Extensive sitting or walking.
• Frequent stooping or bending over.
• Repetitive movements.

Qualifications

The position requires a drivers license.
