About the role

Candidates selected to fill the role of long-term reserve Elementary Teacher for Wayzata Public Schools will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long-standing commitment to academic excellence. This will be done through the design and delivery of instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. You will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instruction in core areas such as Language Arts, Math, and early literacy.
• Implement multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners.
• Maintain strong classroom management to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Build positive working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Effectively manage unexpected circumstances with calm and professionalism.
• Utilize current technology to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring.
• Produce, analyze, and respond to relevant data about student learning.

Requirements

• Valid Minnesota teaching license.
• Previous elementary-level teaching experience (preferred).
• Deep knowledge of core academic areas, including Language Arts, Math, and early literacy.
• Experience with differentiated instructional strategies.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Proficiency with educational technology for communication, academics, and progress monitoring.

Pay

Compensation range: $52,308–$123,452, depending on education and experience. See the Wayzata Education Association Contract for details.
