First Assistant, Certified

About the role

Lifepoint Health seeks a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - First Assistant to support patients and community members interfacing with our healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient to provide optimal exposure for surgical procedures, utilizing stabilizing equipment as needed.
• Uses visualization techniques to inspect the operative site, manipulating tissue and materials as necessary.
• Achieves temporary and permanent hemostasis using appropriate methods.
• Closes body planes, applies wound dressings, and secures drainage systems under the guidance of the surgical team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Must hold a Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

Pay

$10,000 sign-on bonus offered.
