About the role

The Operating Room at Freeman Health System is a fast-paced procedural area offering a variety of specialties including gynecology, ear, nose and throat, orthopedics, cosmetic and neurosurgery. Staff here work as a team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction, with an in-depth orientation process.

Responsibilities

• Performs surgical interventions of assigned patients within the operating room suite under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
• Assists in surgical procedures as directed by the surgeon, including suturing, assisting at the surgical field, and achieving hemostasis.
• Performs proficiently in the scrub technician role, as needed and directed by the charge RN.

Requirements

• Current license/certificate as first assistant.
• AHA BLS for healthcare providers within 180 days.
