About the role
Under the direction of the Ski Patrol Manager, Gunstock First Aid Base Attendants help promote the safety of Gunstock's skiing and snowboarding guests. First Aid Base Attendants are committed to providing quality, empathetic care for injured or ill guests and employees at the resort.
Responsibilities
- Attend to patient evaluation, triage, and provide appropriate first aid
- Aid in transport decisions for injured guests and/or employees
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of department CPR guidelines, Lift Evacuation Procedures, and the resort’s Emergency Response Plan to provide support when needed
- Remain in a stationary position 30% of the time while multitasking, operating radio controls, answering phone calls, triaging, providing medical aid, and maintaining a clean working environment
- Lift and move equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Lift and move patients with assistance as required
- Move about the resort to access injured or ill guests and employees to administer first aid or emergency services
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- National Registry EMT-Basic certification with a current NH Providers License
- Current CPR (BLS) certification
- Additional medical or ski area experience helpful
Schedule
Position is scheduled from early December through early April. Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
