Firmware Engineer - IoT

About the role

The Firmware Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining firmware for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test firmware for IoT devices
• Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure firmware meets product requirements
• Perform code reviews and contribute to code quality improvements
• Debug and resolve issues related to firmware performance and stability
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards in firmware development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems
• Experience with C/C++ programming languages
• Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and peripherals
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience with IoT device development
• Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, MQTT)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
