Firestop Installer

Responsibilities

• Installs caulking at Penetrations and Joints using various methods.
• Inspects work to ensure compliance with UL Design standards.
• Reads blueprints and life safety drawings.
• May access Penetrations and Joints using various equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, scaffolds, and ladders.
• Requires sitting, standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, talking, and hearing.
• Lifts and/or moves up to 15 pounds frequently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Past firestop experience preferred.
• Dependable transportation required.
• Must be able to travel out of town for overnight and one-day trips.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Fall Protection, Forklift, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift certifications preferred.
