Firestop Foreman

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews installing firestop material at through and membrane firestop penetrations.
• Oversee installation of firestop systems at drywall, masonry, and curtain wall joint applications.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with approved design documents and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, life safety drawings, and specifications.
• Operate and ensure safe use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, scaffolds, and ladders.
• Perform physical duties including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting as needed to complete installations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous firestop experience strongly preferred
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills on construction projects
• Dependable transportation with ability to travel for day and overnight trips as needed
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
• Fall Protection, Forklift, Boom Lift, and Scissor Lift certifications preferred
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally more as required
