About the Role

Must be able to prepare and apply fire protection systems and sound control coatings. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are being used for the specified tasks.
  • Prepare and apply fire protection systems and sound control using coatings such as cement, gypsum, and acrylic.
  • Reads blueprints and data to determine requirements for the job.
  • Must be able to select the amount and type of fireproofing to be installed as well as a method of application according to the type and shape of surface.
  • Demonstrate the installation, fitting, fabrication and attachment of fireproofing materials.
  • Organize and order material as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: no minimum education requirements.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience: 4 years of Journeyman level experience.

  • Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
