Fireplace Field Technician (Service and Install)

About the role

Fireside Hearth & Home (FHH) in Manassas, VA is seeking a Fireplace Field Technician to provide professional in‑home installation and service of fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and facings. FHH is the world’s largest fireplace installing distributor and retail dealer in North America, a subsidiary of Hearth & Home Technologies (part of HNI Corporation), with over 400 hearth experts across 6 regions, 12 states and 29 branches.

Responsibilities

• Install and service fireplaces with close attention to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain working knowledge of all fireplaces, stoves, and related home products, including manufacturer updates.
• Perform warehouse and forklift duties.
• Communicate with inside and outside sales staff and field operations to ensure installations are completed to quality standards.

Qualifications

• No prior fireplace installation experience required – training provided on the job with an experienced installer.
• Experience working with hand and power tools; mechanically inclined.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• HVAC experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18, valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards.
• Tablet/computer proficiency.
