Firefighter/EMS Full or Part Time - UPDATED

Job Summary

The Town of Ocean City, MD will add four Firefighter/EMS positions in November. You could be one of them!

We are looking for skilled Firefighter/EMS clinicians to become full-time or part-time members of our team. Individuals must be at least 18 years of age and meet the following requirements at the time of application:

• A High School Diploma or GED
• A Valid National Registry Paramedic / Maryland Paramedic/ National Registry EMT / Maryland EMT (must upload to application)
• A Maryland Firefighter I certification, National Pro-Board Firefighter I certification or equivalent at the time of application (must upload to application)
• A Paramedic license preferred
• A Current BLS Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certified (must upload to application)
• A Valid Maryland Class C driver’s license or the equivalent of a state of license; Maryland Class B driver’s license preferred (must upload to application)

Starting Compensation

• Firefighter/EMT Basic: $21.88/hour / $51,210/annual
• Firefighter/EMT Intermediate: $24.01/hour / $56,177/annual
• Firefighter/Paramedic - new: $26.34/hour / $61,626/annual
• Firefighter/Paramedic - experienced: $27.65/hour / $64,707/annual

*Based on 45-hour work week

• Annual bonuses (up to $2000) for part-time personnel working needed shifts/volume.
• Additional $250 bonus for rescue swimmer certification/operation.
