Firefighter, Part-Time

Description

The Fox Crossing Fire Department is creating an eligibility list for the position of Part-Time Firefighter. Those hired will assist in providing coverage between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and around the clock on the weekends from Friday evening through Monday morning (12-hour shifts). Applicants filling these positions will need to work a minimum of four (4) shifts per month.

Examples of Duties

• Fire and EMS emergency response
• Fire inspections
• Apparatus driving and operation (if certified)
• Public education
• Customer service

Minimum Job Requirements

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certification
• State of Wisconsin Driver Operator – Pumper certification (desired)
• Current State of Wisconsin EMS First Responder Certification or higher
• Completion of NIMS 100,200, and 700

• The hiring process will include a physical abilities test, oral interview, skills assessment test, medical physical, drug test, and a pre-employment criminal background check.
