Firearms Team Lead

About the role

The Team Leader supports the Group Sales or Department Manager in leading firearm sales and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies. They provide direction and guidance to Sales Outfitters, manage departmental goals, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports GSM / DM in firearm safe handling, operations, and customer experience standards
• Directs associates in merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, and customer service activities
• Prepares to-do lists and executes merchandising directives
• Maintains a pleasant shopping experience and staffs the department with service-oriented associates
• Resolves customer and associate issues, maintains high customer service standards, and assists in interviewing and training new hires
• Coordinates special events, ensures pricing and UPC integrity, and maintains accurate inventory
• Assists in supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, and performance evaluations
• Provides expert product knowledge and assists in promoting programs like CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of retail sales experience
• Experience in supervisory roles a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with PC-based software and equipment
• Ability to handle light physical labor and work in various environments
