About the role

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. This role performs various selling and customer service activities to ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and providing product recommendations.
  • Promote programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
  • Ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
  • Demonstrate products to customers.
  • Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store, including replenishing product on shelves.
  • Remain a product expert through ongoing training and stay knowledgeable of advertised sales.
  • Maintain pricing, signing, and assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
  • Keep work areas clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of retail experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Skills

  • Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
  • Understanding of ATF federal and state regulations.
  • Customer service and sales experience with firearms and ammunition.
  • Ability to merchandise and stock products.

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
  • Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
  • Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
  • Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (with team assistance).
  • Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments.
