About the role
Great team of forensics personnel supporting the USPIS mission. Work in the USPIS Forensics Laboratory alongside experienced forensics professionals across all areas of forensics. Learn about the USPIS mission in a fully functional, accredited government laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inventory evidence
- Process, analyze and examine evidence according to forensic science discipline and accreditation standards and FLS policies and procedures
- Create examination documentation for work performed
- Issue forensic laboratory examination reports
- Provide expert testimony on work performed
Required/Desired Qualifications
- Education: Prefer (but not needed) B.S. degree with at least twenty-four (24) credit hours in the Physical Sciences
- Experience: Prefer experience working in an accredited laboratory
- Demonstrated ability to study and pass training, examination, and testing assessments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- US citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS)
Shift Information
Full time and day shift (normal working hours falling between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.)
