Fire, Water & Mold Restoration Technician

About the role

Restoration 1 of Central Maryland is America's leading independent restoration company. We provide services for fire, water, smoke, and mold damage under the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) standards. Our primary coverage area includes Central Maryland and the Baltimore Metro areas.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dry, and remediate buildings damaged by fire, water, smoke, and mold according to IICRC standards.
• Perform water extraction, mold remediation, light demolition, and general clean-up.
• Work with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and follow all company policies.
• Handle emergencies and respond to calls within the designated area.
• Participate in on-the-job training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn quickly.
• One (1) year of experience in water extraction, mold, fire restoration, light demolition, and general clean-up (preferred but not required).
• No issues with consistent standing, moving, and lifting.
• A valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
• Rotational on-call schedule with extended hours, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• IICRC WRT certification (preferred but not required).

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Basic computer skills for job-related tasks.
