Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of fire technicians.
- Participate in hiring, coaching, developing, and managing performance for fire technicians.
- Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of fire protection technicians and contractors.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement fire safety training programs for staff and emergency response drills.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to fire safety inspections, incidents, and compliance audits.
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- 3+ years’ experience in fire protection industry, required.
- Experience in project coordination and team supervision, required.
- Valid Fire Protection license/certification required for the areas of oversight, required.
- Knowledge of advanced fire protection technologies and systems, preferred.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug and background check.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and have full use of hands.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to work from a ladder, and in some case, a man-lift.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel daily.
