Responsibilities
- Review and understand safety on the job site
- Coordinate the installation process at the job site (unload equipment, place the hose in the location of installation, etc.)
- Use basic trade math fundamentals to assist the supervisor with costs
- Inspection of firewalls per NFPA code
- Provide accurate documentation for customers' code compliance
- Maintain professional, timely communication with customers
- Develop an understanding of the relationship between cost, blueprinting, reading, and material estimating
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have at least six months of construction experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and use a tape measure, and ability to read measurements off of a blueprint
- Must have a form of dependable transportation; must travel out of town, both on overnight and one-day trips
Physical Demands
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
- Frequent exposure to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
