Fire Stopping Installer

Responsibilities

• Review and understand safety on the job site
• Coordinate the installation process at the job site (unload equipment, place the hose in the location of installation, etc.)
• Use basic trade math fundamentals to assist the supervisor with costs
• Inspection of firewalls per NFPA code
• Provide accurate documentation for customers' code compliance
• Maintain professional, timely communication with customers
• Develop an understanding of the relationship between cost, blueprinting, reading, and material estimating

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must have at least six months of construction experience
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and use a tape measure, and ability to read measurements off of a blueprint
• Must have a form of dependable transportation; must travel out of town, both on overnight and one-day trips

Physical Demands

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequent exposure to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
