Fire Sprinkler Technician
Job Summary
Fire Sprinkler Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Sprinkler, Clean Agent and Special Hazard Fire Protection Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine service and maintenance tasks on fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
- This includes inspecting, testing, cleaning components, verifying system functionality and diagnosing system issues.
- Provide customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
- Manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing their inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Educate customers on system functionality, best practices, and emergency response procedures.
- Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Making sure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment – trucks, lifts, tools, etc.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- NICET Level l, II or higher required in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems
- ASE150-10 Certification or Sprinkler Fitter
- 2+ years experience in the inspection and testing of water-based fire protection systems
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the Fire, Life & Safety industry
- Knowledge of NFPA code requirements
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects
- Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
- Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
- Ability to use hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc.
Pay Range
Pay Range: $25.00/hour-$32.00/hour
SIGN ON BONUS
The individual starting pay rate will be determined by factors including education, skills, experience and licenses/certifications. SIGN ON BONUS! - For NICET III or higher, we are offering sign on bonuses to be paid as follows: $2,500 at time of hire$2,500 after 6 months of service$2,500 after 12 months of serviceTOTAL $7,500!!!!!
