About the Role

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. This position plays a key role in managing projects from planning to completion while adhering to the customer’s standards, coordinating subcontractors, and performing quality control and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of helpers, apprentices, journeymen, and foremen, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management teams to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers to ensure necessary resources are available for the project.
• Create schedules for team members and subcontractors outlining important tasks and deadlines.
• Attend Fire Marshal inspections on job sites.
• Hire additional subcontractors as needed and assign work accordingly to support resource allocation.
• Make operational changes as necessary to meet construction deadlines.
• Implement management techniques to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing costs in the construction process.
• Attend weekly Work in Progress meetings to provide updates on project status, discuss challenges, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Assist designers and project managers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
