Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
  • Diagnose system issues and identify required repairs or corrective actions.
  • Conduct system testing, flushing, and functional checks.
  • Document service activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions accurately.
  • Communicate system status and service needs with customers and internal teams.
  • Cook up with inspectors, project managers, and other technicians as needed.
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Support emergency and on-call service requests as required.

Education And/or Experience

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of fire sprinkler service or installation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret system drawings and specifications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • NICET certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, crouching/bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical systems, and active facilities.
  • Overtime and on-call rotation may be required.
