How you will contribute
- Estimate upgrades to existing customers' fire sprinkler systems
- Leverage persuasion and relationship management skills to develop and grow a customer base
- Perform preliminary design, bid estimates, prepare pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication
- Seek out competitive vendors and services to assure competitively bid fire protection projects
- Prepare scope and quotation letters for customers
- Maintain monthly estimate logs
- Meet with management regularly to discuss current estimating backlog and due dates
- Participate in turnover meetings as required
- Assist with follow-up information with the customer as requested
- Manage projects in conjunction with the designer and construction superintendent
What you need to qualify
- Two-plus years of fire protection contracting experience
- Prior experience in bidding work
- A strong understanding of estimating
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
