Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, including general contractors, property managers, building owners, and end users.
- Possess prospecting and qualifying new sales opportunities for fire sprinkler installation, retrofit, service, and inspection work.
- Review construction documents, specifications, and site conditions to support accurate estimating and proposal development.
- Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts in coordination with estimating and operations teams.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and scope of work to secure profitable projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and field teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools and internal reporting systems.
- Stay current on applicable NFPA standards, local codes, and industry trends.
Education And/or Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or business education preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler sales, fire protection contracting, or related construction industry sales.
- A strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems, applicable codes, and construction processes preferred.
Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged work at computer with frequent driving within assigned territory and ability to attend site visits and job walks.
- Sit, stand, walk, close vision, ability to lift 25 lbs.
