Fire Sprinkler Project Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage new installations of all types of water-based fire sprinkler systems
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and standards
  • Look for value engineering opportunities
  • Material buyout and product selection
  • Schedule and labor coordination with both office and field personnel alike
  • Document control, contract scope review, and maintain records of the project for both current and future use
  • Communicate and attend weekly design and project management meetings
  • Cost management, including identifying changes to the project scope that impact costs and ensure change orders and billings are submitted and paid in a timely manner
  • Assist with development, suitability, and implementation of Risk Hazard Analyses
  • Conduct site surveys, onsite commissioning, and owners training
  • Foster strong working relationships and rapport with customers, clients, subcontractors, and colleagues

Education & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Fire Sprinkler experience required
  • 3+ years of project management experience required
  • Computer literacy including MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel) applications required
  • Education in Construction Management, Engineering, or other applicable degree from a technical school or college preferred
  • NICET Water Based System certifications a plus
