Fire Sprinkler Layout Technician

About the role

We are a full-service organization covering sales, design, fabrication, inspections, and installation, seeking a Fire Sprinkler Layout Technician with a minimum of 5 years of CAD or Sprinkler Design experience.

Responsibilities

• Layout Fire Protection Systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
• Perform layout using AutoCad, HydraCad, SprinkCAD, and AutoSPRINK.
• Create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for fabrication.
• Understand and apply NFPA standards and various code officials' requirements.
• Design and layout of fire sprinkler systems.
• BIM modeling using NavisWorks, ManageREVIT.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations.
• Perform field surveying, including work off ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
• Prepare listings for fabrication.
• Coordinate between trades.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• NICET II or III certification required.
• High mechanical interest.
• AutoCad experience and/or HydraCad, SprinkCAD, or AutoSPRINK experience required.
• Navis/Revit experience required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Self-motivated with great organizational skills.
• Must be organized, efficient, and work well with design team members, shop, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Former military candidates are encouraged to apply.
