As a Fire Sprinkler Estimating Coordinator, you will prepare cost estimates and proposals for the correction of impairments and deficiencies identified during ITM services on Fire Protection Equipment (Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Pumps, Backflow Preventers, etc.). You’ll determine the correct solution that best meets customer needs while maintaining code compliance and equipment operability, then prepare and send proposals to customers and internal teams. You’ll also track customer correspondence, coordinate with supervisors and team members on repair parts/services, and ensure proper completion of work through turnover documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates and proposals based on information provided by field technical personnel.
  • Determine the correct solution that meets customer needs while maintaining code compliance and equipment operability.
  • Prepare and send proposals to customers, client services managers, and appropriate field personnel.
  • Track and follow up on customer correspondence to secure approval for repair work.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and team members to identify source and cost of repair parts/services.
  • Prepare turnover documentation for transmittal to local service coordinators.
  • Track and maintain assigned proposals and purchase orders.
  • Report unresponsive customers or delayed approvals to the Field Quote Center Supervisor for escalation.
  • Provide feedback on process improvements to streamline workflows.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and support.
  • Work in a home-based, virtual environment.
  • May be required to travel 10% for training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/aptitude of Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Pumps, Backflow Preventers, and other Fire Systems based on applicable technical work experience or a combination of technical and in-office experience (e.g., inspector, technician, construction, sales, administration, project management).
  • NICET II Certification or equivalent in Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and/or Special Hazards Systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PC skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively/professionally (verbal and written) and provide quality customer service to remote customers, field technicians, and operation teams.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements for Siemens’ fleet vehicle program.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering.
  • Fire Protection System Certifications from manufacturers or major universities.
  • State or local Fire Sprinkler Technician/Inspector/Designer/Backflow Licenses.
  • Field technical experience in Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, and/or Life Safety Industries.
  • Experience in a call center environment.
  • Understanding of business processes, standard practices, tools, and financial systems supporting commercial building fire and security systems.
  • Estimating and/or sales experience in Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, Life Safety, or related industries.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $47,053 - $80,662 annually. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
