About the role

This is a great opportunity for a candidate who would like to learn a trade in the Fire Protection industry. The Fire Sprinkler Apprentice position provides valuable work experience by working alongside a technician in the service, inspection, and repair of sprinkler systems. Our progressive training approach combines on-the-job training, online, and classroom instruction. You will be paired with a qualified technician for hands-on training, and Cintas partners with outside vendors to provide additional instruction.

The program will equip you with the tools and certifications needed to become a qualified Fire Sprinkler Technician. Once qualified, job duties will include conducting service calls, systems testing and inspections to prescribed standards, performing on-site emergency repairs of customers’ sprinkler systems, and identifying non-conformances to code.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a qualified technician to learn the service, inspection, and repair of sprinkler systems
• Participate in on-the-job, online, and classroom training
• Conduct service calls, systems testing, and inspections to prescribed standards (once qualified)
• Perform on-site emergency repairs of customers’ sprinkler systems (once qualified)
• Identify non-conformances to code (once qualified)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Fire Protection industry
• Experience with trades such as HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing
