Key Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses according to approved syllabi and academic schedules.
- Incorporate diverse perspectives, cultures, and teaching methods into classroom instruction.
- Utilize academic technologies, library resources, and writing-based teaching techniques.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance; submit reports and grades by deadlines.
- Participate in student learning outcomes assessment and apply results to course improvement.
- Plan and secure required instructional materials and classroom equipment in advance.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Fire Science or a closely related discipline (unless otherwise specified).
- Demonstrated teaching experience, preferably at the community college level.
- Official college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching undergraduate students.
- Certification or license appropriate to the discipline.
- Familiarity with competency-based education models.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching and assessment.
