About the role
The Fire Protection Trade Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems in commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of fire suppression systems in new and existing buildings.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fire safety.
- Manage a team of contractors and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of fire protection systems to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including architects, engineers, and building owners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
