Fire Protection Trade Manager - Commercial Construction

About the role

The Fire Protection Trade Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems in commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and inspection of fire suppression systems in new and existing buildings.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fire safety.
• Manage a team of contractors and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of fire protection systems to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement training programs for building occupants and staff on fire safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration with fire protection systems.
