Fire Protection Site Observation Technician

About the role

Benchmark Group is seeking a dynamic and talented individual for the Fire Protection Site Observation Technician role. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, understanding of the construction or architectural/engineering (A/E) industry, and prior experience in fire protection systems, preferably in design, installation, or testing. Experience with REVIT platforms is preferred. This position involves heavy travel and requires a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys and feasibility studies to gather and verify client and site information, including preliminary conditions, design needs, requirements, and costs.
• Document site conditions for future projects.
• Read and interpret design documents, identify code issues, and assist in cross-discipline observations.

Requirements

• Minimum High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of the Construction or A/E industry.
• Prior education, or technical/design work experience in Fire Protection.
• Previous Fire Sprinkler system knowledge in design, installation, or testing.
• Experience in REVIT platforms (preferred).
• Applicable work experience in the Construction or A/E industry or related field.
