Fire Protection Shop (2nd Shift)

About the role

This full-time second-shift position in Fond du Lac, WI, involves operating machinery and threading piping for fire protection systems. Additional duties include bundling pipe, assisting with crane and cart systems, shop maintenance, and equipment cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery for threading piping in fire protection systems
• Band and bundle pipe for transport and storage
• Use crane and cart systems to move pipe throughout the shop
• Maintain shop cleanliness, including sweeping and equipment cleanup
• Follow all safety regulations, including the use of hearing, hand, knee, and foot protection

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Pass an aptitude test
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Capable of standing, bending, and crouching for an 8-hour shift
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced, occasionally loud environment

Pay

$20.11/hour, set to the current Local 669 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Schedule

Full-time second shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with overtime as needed on Fridays.
