Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire protection systems, including fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, to ensure they are in good working order and comply with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Perform preventative maintenance on fire protection systems to prevent malfunctions and ensure their longevity and reliability.
- Inspect and maintain life safety systems and backflow prevention devices to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation of all inspection and maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and professionally to any queries or issues raised by customers.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults and malfunctions, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
- Provide field service support, traveling to various sites to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Conduct safety inspections, identifying any potential hazards and taking immediate action to eliminate them.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire protection and safety.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Level 2 NICET
- Proven experience with fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, inspection and testing, preventative maintenance, life safety systems, backflow prevention, technical documentation, customer service, troubleshooting, field service, system diagnostics, and safety inspections.
- Excellent technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and resolve their issues promptly and professionally.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing your time effectively and prioritising your workload to meet deadlines.
- A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to identify potential hazards and take immediate action to eliminate them.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites as required.
Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 per year
